Anna had just recently gave birth to her second little prince, Dermott. I was pleased to have received her order for baby shower cookies. I belive it's pretty common to give out cookies as baby shower favours in the West, but not here in Singapore. It was a pretty novel idea and i was glad, because that means i can use many pretty and cute cookie cutters.
Each box contained 10 cookies, with a total of 30 boxes. Each box include, letters: "B" "A" "B" "Y", a milk bottle, rocking horse, rattle, baby pram, teddy bear and a small little ducky.
Too bad I didn't manage to capture any photos as I was too engrossed in finish baking, packing and sending it off. A little tired, but glad that I managed to pull it off on time.
If you've been quite an avid baker, you'd realise the lack of pretty packing here in Singapore and so when I was searching high and low for a suitable box, I pretty much gave up and decided to "customised" the boxes myself.
I printed a "baby themed" border and paste it around the boxes together with a personalised cute label, with Dermott's face! =D The baby themed border took me a while as I vectored each and every baby-related item and coloured it with photoshop to avoid infringing copyright laws. But I was really pleased with how the box turned out. Unfortunately, the pictures of the boxes is all i've got for this huge cookie project..I shall wait and see if Anna's got any pictures to offer =)

We love the cookies and the boxes! Thank you for doing up such nice packaging for me. Everyone liked the label - it was so cute! I've sent you some pictures - feel free to use them =)
Hi Fiona,
The box is so pretty! It really looks like those customised pretty boxes from commercial ones. I know you are good in your cakes, but didn't know your art & craft is so good too! Looks like your talent is really in this area- creative baking & designing!! ;)
Hi Anna,
Thanks for the pictures! I've uploaded them already. I'm glad everyone liked the cookies and that the label turned out good =)
Hi Jane,
Thanks!! Nahh, my art and craft so-so only. I only know basic stuffs hehe.. I did research quite abit on baby showers designs, packaging etc and finally came up with this very simple one =)
I guess it's the interest that pushes me to improve? =p or...maybe because i'm left-handed? *shrugs* hehe..
You're left handed!? so envious...i always believe left-handed people are more creative. its true, really!
my brother and husband gobbled up one box within minutes. and my friend's kids loved them too. they were really yummy!
Hi Anna,
hahah yea! I'm left handed =p I remember I had a little trouble rolling up the "bud" while learning to make the fondant rose haha but you quickly solved the problem for me hehe..Well I think I'm one of those who are kinda like...confused? haha..sounds wrong that I actually did a Science degree huh..ha~
=DD I'm really glad and relieved that the cookies received yummy reviews =)
Hey Fiona,
I can't agree more with Anna!! I'm so envious of left-handers. Share with you, I regretted forcing my youngest boy to right hand where he originally was a left hander! Boohoohoo...there goes his creativity! That explains why you are so creative...
Hi Jane,
Actually I think your boy still has underlying creativity that hasn't been discovered bah...I've got a friend who's also left-handed but like your youngest boy, was forced to learn to write with her right hand. but now, she's really good with craft stuffs and makes really nice cards with all those scrapbook things (like those from the shop "made with love" at plaza sing)
I'm sure your boy still is creative esp with the art classes he's attending now =p
Just wait and see his creativity unfold! hehe!
Hi Fiona,
Thanks for comforting. I hope so. He is very creative when it comes to mischiefs! That, I just cannot deny! Hahaha...
Hi Jane,
Looks like he is creative in a different way! =p hehe!
